Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church
Welcome to McKendree United Methodist Church, where every single person matters, period. We invite people from all walks of life and hope they feel welcomed. We trust that when we worship together, serve together, pray together, eat together, and do life together that God is present. That changes everything!
Acolytes remind us that the light of Christ is present when we gather.
YOU’RE INVITED TO SUNDAY WORSHIP
9:30 AM Praise and Worship
This Praise and Worship Service offers a more relaxed atmosphere. The McKendree Praise Team leads a wide range of worship songs that help usher you into the presence of God.
11:00 AM Traditional Worship
This Traditional Worship Service features music from the choir, piano, bell choirs, orchestra, and a wide variety of ensembles and soloists. Sing hymns and embrace liturgy that inspires reverence towards God.
THERE’S A PLACE FOR YOU
You don’t need to be a member of the church to be part of cookouts, small groups, Wednesday meals or any other events. Consider this your official invitation and check out some of the ways you can grow and serve with McKendree UMC.
We have great news! McKendree will be hosting a Life Line Screening event on May 26. Life Line Screening is the premier provider of stroke and cardiovascular disease risk screenings since 1993. Life Line Screening is extending a discounted offer which will identify your risk level for the following diseases:
Carotid Artery Disease
Peripheral Arterial Disease
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
Atrial Fibrillation
You are invited to stop by the Prayer Room to pray over the requests we received at the National Day of Prayer Event. A book is on display with prayers and hand prints from our community members. Simply place your hand on the hand print and speak to God about the requests.
Wear your flame colors and celebrate the birth of the church during the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM Worship Services!
Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples after His Ascension, it is held on the seventh Sunday after Easter. In honor of this, it is tradition to wear flame colors to church to signify the presence of the Holy Spirit in our community and our unity in Christ. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
