Altar Guild - This group keeps the Altar equipped, tidy, and in season. They honor God’s special meeting place, the Sanctuary, with loving care, and is a perfect opportunity for those looking for work behind the scenes. Contact: Andrew or Gaye McNeil, 770.962.3270
 
Boy Scouts - A BSA (Boy Scouts of America) program that is used as a ministry outreach through Mckendree UMC. 1st - 5th graders are the Cub-Scout program and 6th - 12th are Boy Scouts. Currently we are supporting 2 packs (Cub Scouts) and 2 troops( Boy Scouts). Contact: Tom Balog, 770.339.9801
 
Care Meal Ministry- Members help prepare and deliver meals to our church family who have special needs (i.e., a new baby, surgery, medical trauma, family crisis, death, etc.). Children's Council - This council plans and holds seasonal special events throughout the year, such as Easter Egg Hunt, Fall Festival, and Christmas activities. We meet on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Contact: Susan Rowe,  or 770.339.9801 
 

Drama Ministry - A collection of performers who gather on an as-needed basis to present liturgical drama, ministry moments, and other productions, including our bi-annual Christmas adaptations of Trans-Siberian Orchestra concept albums. Whether you can act, write, or prefer to be behind the scenes, the drama ministry has a place for you!

Flight 56 - Volunteers on this team plan and implement lessons, games, off-site trips, service projects and meals. This is a year-round ministry. Contact: Susan Rowe or 770.339.9801
 

Mission Council - This ministry meets to plan mission trips and to discuss new and existing mission opportunities. The meetings are held the 3rd Saturday of every month at 10:00 AM, usually in the Brides Room.

MOMS in Touch, International - Join one of these groups that commit one hour a week in prayer for the children, teachers, staff, and concerns of your child’s school. Contact: Bonnie Hunsaker, 678.787.0483
 
Nursery Council - The Nursery Council members commit to a year or more of service by helping coordinate special events, recognizing our paid staff, and honoring our little one’s birthdays, births, etc. Contact: Lisa Engberg,   or 770.339.9801
 

50+ Prime Timers - This is a social and recreational ministry for those age 50 and over, that brings seniors with common needs together so that they might comfort and minister to each other. Focusing primarily on Christian fellowship, this ministry also provides opportunities for seniors to be involved in the work of the church as they work together to encourage one another. Prayer Ministry - Our mission is to actively promote, teach and support others with prayer. Through personal interaction with God we seek to transform our lives, the life of McKendree Church and our community through prayer? VBS Planning Team - We begin planning VBS in early February and continue to meet up until VBS begins. We also have a post-planning meeting in July. Each person on this team has a responsibility for one area. Examples of responsibility areas are registration, decorations coordinator, volunteer recruitment and crew leader coordinator.
