What is the McKendree UMC Board of Stewards?
 

The Board of Stewards in the United Methodist Church has the responsibility to provide strategic direction to the Church. At McKendree, the Board of Stewards is the single governing body for all ministries of our Church. When Does the Board of Stewards Meet?
The Board of Stewards meets at 7:15 PM every third Sunday in the Room 317 of the Education Building.
What is the Term for Board of Stewards Volunteers?
Usually, each term is three years.
Does the Board of Stewards Need Volunteers?
Yes, if any Church member feels led and has an interest in the growth, operation, and missions of our church.

What is the McKendree UMC Board of Trustees?
 

The Board of Trustees in the United Methodist Church has the responsibility to manage, supervise, oversee, and care for the property of the church. Additionally, the Board of Trustees must ensure the adequacy of property, liability, and crime insurance and receive and administer all bequests and trusts given to the church.

Members of the Board of Trustees are selected by the McKendree UMC Nominating committee and voted on by the Charge-Conference.

What is the McKendree UMC Finance Committee?
 

The Finance Committee in the United Methodist Church has the responsibility to manage all financial affairs at the Church. This includes budget administration and all necessary financial and tax reporting.

Members of the Finance Committee are selected by the McKendree UMC Nominating committee and voted on by the Charge-Conference.

What is the McKendree UMC Staff-Parish Relations Committee?
 

The Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) in the United Methodist Church is the local church administrative unit in which lay and clergy spiritual leaders integrate the staff and congregational interest to focus on the mission of the Church. The SPRC has the responsibility for managing the relationships among these groups.
