Seder Meal 2010

For most of His life, Jesus celebrated Passover in Jerusalem. The Passover ceremony and celebration brought most religious-minded Jews to Jerusalem every year. The Passover Seder—with all of its symbolism—was used by Jesus to explain His ministry one last time on the Thursday night before his crucifixion. And, at the end of this meal, Jesus asked His disciples to "Do this in remembrance of Me.”

More and more Christians are now including the Seder meal in their Holy Week activities, as more and more Christians are learning the significance of this ceremony and celebration and the connection we all have with our Jewish heritage.

You are invited to participate in this moving experience as McKendree is partnering with Sugarloaf UMC in hosting a

Passover Seder on Thursday, April 1st at 7 p.m., at SUMC. Pete Sternberg from MUMC and Jeff Swartz from SUMC will be co-hosts. The evening lasts about two hours and includes a delicious meal of authentic Passover dishes. Childcare will be provided.

This event will be reserved seating only. Tickets are $18.50, and the registration/payment link is under the Events tab at www.sugarloaf.org.
