Schedule of Events
Saturday, February 20, 2010 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
9:00-9:30am Open Heart As we come together in God's name for this event, this is the time for welcoming and introduction. We will talk a little about the reason for this retreat and what we will be accomplishing.
9:30-10:00am Corporate Worship The McKendree Praise Team will lead us in worship to God as we begin. A heart for worship is a heart full of gratitude and grace.
10:00-10:30am Prayer Groups (Session 1) We gather into small groups and move to different rooms to pray and intercede for the world, missionaries, peace, financial situations, and our neighbors. Where two or three are together in His name...we will see God's glory!
10:30-10:45am One on One (Session 1) This voluntary gathering in the sanctuary is in preparation for Bible Study. The McKendree Prayer Force and Stephen Ministry Team will lead this session with one on one prayers. It is good to know that someone is praying with and for me.
10:45-11:45am Bible Time (Teacher: Susanna Jebakumari) What the Bible says about prayer is so important for us. This is the time! Our teacher Susannah Priscilla Jebakumari will lead our study to a deep, eye opening understanding of what prayer is about. Susannah had led many prayer and spiritual studies in our district and with the United Methodist Women.
11:45-1:00pm Lunch Time to strengthen our bodies. Make sure to order in advance your lunch, provided by Chick-fil-A. If not, there are several restaurants in the area.
1:00-1:45pm Corporate Worship A Youth infusion! The McKendree Youth Band, "The Way" will lead us as we continue our worship and prayer experience.
1:45-2:30pm (Session 2) We will again break into small groups with the focus on our personal and immediate petitions before God. As are one in the Body of Christ.
2:30-2:45pm (Session 2) As we return to the sanctuary in preparation for our Healing Service, the McKendree Prayer Force and Stephen Ministry Team will be available for one on one prayer.
2:45-3:30pm Healing Service (Preacher: Diego Orsini) Scripture strongly affirms ministries of spiritual healing. Spiritual healing is God's work through confession, forgiveness, and reconciliation. Healing is not magic, but underlying it is the great mystery of God's love.
3:30-4:00pm Overflowing Heart - Testimonies A time to give God all the glory through our testimonies. Salvation and healing comes through Jesus.
