Background
Rod McClarnon retired as a United Methodist minister from the Florida Annual Conference in June of 2006 after serving for 24 years in 6 appointments. Rod entered ministry after graduating in 1982 from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Prior to that time he worked in Florida as a Financial Consultant and Accountant for 9 years. Rod and his wife Linda enjoyed Florida for a number of years but upon retirement they built a house in Young Harris, GA. He works at McKendree Monday through Wednesdays and enjoys the opportunity and challenge of Administrative work.
Family
Rod is married to Linda Bennett McClarnon and has two grown sons, one living with his wife and daughter in Tallahassee Florida, and the other in Qatar with his wife and daughter.
Hobbies
Rod enjoys antique automobiles and refinishing furniture. Linda leads a children’s choir and bell choir at their church in Hayesville, North Carolina.
