MIC 2012 - How do you do your faith?
Mission Impact Celebration returns in January! Join us as we celebrate all the DOING that goes on at McKendree. We put our faith into action every day, and doing our faith takes on many forms. How do you do yours? That’s a question you’ll see popping up a lot. You might answer, “volunteer, donate, help others, serve, teach, encourage, or give.” Or you could simply be Jesus with skin on to everyone you encounter. There is no wrong answer. Our congregation doesn’t sit still for long. So MIC is embracing a “doing celebration.” Do a little. Do a lot. Do it with a friend, your spouse & kids, your church family—or someone you just met.

| DECEMBER & EARLY JANUARY Sign up for a doing-your-faith opportunity on Saturday, January 28 and Max Lucado’s Outlive Your Life 4-week DVD small group study offered in January. |
| SUNDAY, JANUARY 22 @ 9:30 & 11AM WORSHIP Hear Pastor Dana Everhart preach about faith in action. Speak with local missionaries visiting Sunday School classes. |
| WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 25 @ 6:30PM Become inspired with testimonies & music by McKendree ensembles as we celebrate Doing Your Faith. |
| FRIDAY, JANUARY 27 @ NOON Join in a church-wide 30-Hour Fast that concludes 6pm, Saturday with a Beans & Rice Dinner in the Fellowship Hall. Join our youth at 7pm as they prepare for a fast-related Lock-In and hear speakers such as Linda Freund of the Lawrenceville Co-Op share about hunger and need in our midst. |
| SATURDAY, JANUARY 28 @ 9AM It’s a Great Day of Doing! Participate in a service project such as the Stop Hunger Now Packing Event, the Adopt a Road Project, and other planned opportunities (advanced sign-up required). At 6pm we break the fast and enjoy fellowship and fullness with a Beans & Rice Dinner. |
| SUNDAY, JANUARY 29 @ 9:30 & 11AM WORSHIP Dr. Peter Pereira leads our Faith Promise Worship & Commitment Services in the morning where we’ll submit our service and pledge cards for 2012 mission outreach. Meet with local missionaries between services and in Sunday School. At 5:30pm, join our youth for their 2012 Kick Off of Doing Your Faith Celebration in the Sanctuary. |
